Returning to Creativity

With the holidays and birthdays behind, life has softened into a steadier rhythm again. I’ve returned to the table—illustrating, experimenting, and continuing to refine a new technique I've learned over the past few months.

I'm giving each piece the time it needs to become something memorable and lasting. No rushing. No trying to outpace inspiration. Just letting the images unfold at their own pace and trusting the process, layer by layer.

I take photos along the way to study at another time. I'll see details to add, like little creatures or flowers, or as in the Fox & Chrysalis Scene, I added the brook as an afterthought, and in the Fox & Butterfly Fall Scene, I used an art sponge to create the bulk of the autumn leaves, then painted others for more detail and movement.

I’m excited to share glimpses of recent illustrations, and I’m even more excited for what’s beginning to take shape as this book slowly, beautifully unfolds.

I appreciate you being here :)

I am very much looking forward to the day we get to read the story and hold the images in our hands. I love the curious bunny and the snuggling bunnies.
